Virginie Lleu - Managing Director
has a background in Clinical Psychology (post-graduate diploma) and started a career as a Neuro-Psychologist in leading teaching hospitals (1988-1990) in Paris (France). Subsequently, she was appointed Human Resources Manager in charge of recruitment within a major French pharmaceutical company (1990-1993).
Over the last 17 years, Virginie has held various recruitment consulting positions in the healthcare area; first, for specialized firms in middle-management selection, then with two Global Executive Search firms based in Paris (Korn Ferry International and Spencer Stuart) (2000-2003).
She has significantly contributed to the growth and development of these firms in a number of areas, including biotechnology and pharma industry.
To date, Virginie has been performing a large variety of assignments covering most corporate functions (HR, Finance, R&D, Business Development, Marketing and Sales) as well as more specialized positions (Market access, Regulatory…) and General Management positions (including CEO roles). /p>
In July 2003, Virginie founded and developed L2S (LIFE SCIENCE SEARCH) as Managing Director, an executive search firm specialized in healthcare. As her business grew significantly, she hired a team of 8 people and L2S became then a leading search firm in France. L2S assisted international pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology and medical devices companies, start ups and public agencies in their various search roles. L2S focused itself in France and in Europe on Top Executive and Expert position searches. In addition, Virginie gained her coaching accreditation from a very well known institute (Alter&Coach 2006).
Five years later (2008), L2S was sold to Whitehead Mann and Virginie took over the Head position of Life Sciences Practice for Europe. 18 months later, after a strong rise in turnover (growth 150%), the team was re-deployed and KFI bought out WHM (2009).
Based on her significant track record and experience gained at L2S, Virginie created L3S in August 2010 with the goal of becoming one of the leading life sciences search firm in Europe.
Virginie Lleu is a member of 3 Boards: la Fondation Fondamentale (scientific cooperation dedicated to mental illness), Ysopia (medical nutrition products targeting major metabolic pathologies) and MedinCell (Innovation for Global Health).
